Why R Language becoming popular?
R is a Programming language it's environment for statistical computing and graphics.The environment was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T,
now Lucent Technologies) by John Chambers and colleagues.R was created by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and is developed by the R Development Core Team . R is named partly after the first names of the first two R authors and partly as a play on the name of S. The project was conceived in 1992, with an initial version released in 1995 and a stable beta version (v1.0) on 29 February 2000.
R language is called integrated suite.The software facilities for data manipulation, calculation and graphical display. It mainly consists of :
- An effective data handling and storage facility,
- a suite of operators for calculations on arrays, in particular matrices,
- a large, coherent, integrated collection of intermediate tools for data analysis,
- graphical facilities for data analysis and display either on-screen or on hard-copy, and
- a well-developed, simple and effective programming language which includes conditionals, loops, user-defined recursive functions and input and output facilities.

R is free under the GNU General Public License, with a per-compiled binary version that provide for various operating systems like Linux, Windows and Mac.
R is a GNU-style and an official part of the GNU project called GNU S.
R Language is a widely use in statistical programming language in collage and IT industry. R Language can perform well with data science, that makes a
great language for everyone with interest in data analysis, data
visualization, and data science.

I don't think so. I guarantee that you won't use R as long as you can do the same with Python. Also, R is highly restricted for specific purposes only, whereas python is all-rounder.
